Anne Hathaway's Cottage, located in Shottery, near Stratford-upon-Avon, is the childhood home of Anne Hathaway, wife of William Shakespeare. This charming 12-room, thatched-roof cottage dates back to the 15th century and is a prime example of traditional English Tudor architecture. The cottage remained in the Hathaway family for generations and is now a museum dedicated to preserving the heritage of Shakespeare's life and times.
Surrounded by beautiful gardens, orchards, and woodland, the cottage offers visitors a glimpse into the domestic life of the period and provides insight into the early life of Shakespeare’s wife. |
