About Park Hill Flats, Sheffield:
Park Hill Flats Sheffield is a notable example of post-war urban redevelopment and Brutalist architecture. Completed in 1961, the estate was designed by architects Jack Lynn and Ivor Smith to address housing shortages. Its innovative "streets in the sky" concept aimed to foster community by creating wide, accessible walkways that replicated traditional street layouts at height. |
